We’re starting our day sharing a book with our reading buddies in crew this morning.

We started our day with a good book 📚

We began the morning with some mindful colouring, thinking about our breathing and beautiful bubbles.

Class five have been busy adding colour to their beautiful pencil sketch dragon eyes 🎨

We have all worked really hard this morning drawing our first draft of a dragon eye. An amazing effort from everyone in Class 3……Well done.

This week the children in Classes 1 and 2 have been getting to know their new crews and crew leaders. We have had great fun getting to know each other, trying different activities together and learning more about what it means to be a crew. We’ve also been learning the words and actions to our new crew song (to the tune of Jingle Bells):
We are crew, we are crew
And this is what we do,
We stay safe, we are kind
Working hard to get smart!

We have had a wonderful week welcoming children into school. They have all settled so well and enjoyed exploring the classroom and getting to know their new friends and teachers. We are sure that this year is going to be a positive experience for them all and we are looking forward to creating lots of happy memories of our days together. Mrs Kendrew-Jones and Mrs Murray

We have had a lovely start to the new academic year in Class 4 having lots of fun, playing games, getting to know our friends and building relationships with them.

Dress Up Day – Immersion Week
As part of our immersion week, we are asking the children to come to school on Friday 9th September dressed as someone who may have lived or worked in a castle – people like servants, kings and queens, princesses, court jesters, knights etc
Please don’t feel you need to spend lots of money on these at short notice, it may be a costume you already have at home, a mask you can print and make from the internet or there are lots of crafty ideas online too. As part of our immersion week we will be making crowns etc also, so every child will be involved.
On this day, we will be doing lots of fun activities relating to our new expedition – we will make sure we share lots of photographs and videos so that you can see what we get up to.
Thank you for your cooperation.
