Thoughtful Thursday really got our brains working this morning! We had to work together try try and solve the puzzle – there was lots of communicating and resilience shown!
Super job year two crews
As a reward for all their hard work last week, year two had a ovely morning in crew this morning drinking hot chocolate and marshmallows. We also listened to a Christmas story and had a quick dance to some Christmas songs before opening our letter from Zoink the elf!
To finish off our time doing XP Outdoors this half term, Crew Gate and Crew Tinker gathered around the campfire and enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate. While drinking our hot chocolates we worked together to tell our very own story… All about a treasure hunting piarate in the desert.
We spent our Thoughtful Thursday celebrating Maths Week 2024. We shared work we are proud of from our maths books and then grappled over some problems together!
Over our last couple of crew sessions, Crew Gate have been embracing the outdoors and using our autumn finds to create artwork.
This week Class Six have been thinking all about subtraction in Maths. To finish off the week we did a super fun activity writing on the tables.
What better way to spend our tranquil Tuesday crew session than outside around our fire pit, sharing a story and a hot chocolate.

Yesterday Class Six took over Conisbrough Castle. We hopped off the coach and straight into our “History Of The Castle” workshop where we learned all about Lord Hamlin and Lady Isabelle.
After lunch we headed into the grounds of the castle and explored where the prison, hall and kitchen would have been before heading up the tower. We climbed lots of stairs, exploring both Lord Hamlin and Lady Isabelle’s rooms on the way up to the top of the tower, looking over the village of Conisbrough!
