Mental Health Awareness Week

This week was Mental Health Awareness Week and this year the theme was kindness. Have a look of some of our children being kind at home at home.

This Week in Class 3

Another busy and varied week in Class 3, let’s take a look a what you have all been up to.

In English…

: Victoria practised spelling compound words.

: Elsie’s compound words beautiful work.

: Victoria’s prediction of ‘The Green Ship’

: Adam’s great predistion of what might happen in ‘The Green Ship’ by Quentin Blake.

: Holly did a great job interviewing her parents about their favourite books when they were children.

Mia and Elsie thought about the wildlife in their gardens and our playground and did a great job making bird feeders.

Elsie made a beautiful worry jar and baked for her Mummy during the ‘7 Day Kindness Challenge.’

In school and at home you have been thinking about animals and their habitats.

Victoria enjoyed some science this week and grew her own crystals!

Adam built another amazing model.

Fearne and Adam enjoying the sunshine and relaxing with a good book.

I hope you all enjoyed looking at these photos as much as I did Class 3, they are fabulous!

VE Day 75 -Victory in Europe Day – Celebrations

On the 8th May 2020 it will be 75 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. It will be an opportunity for us all to remember the enormous sacrifices that were made at home and abroad and to joyously celebrate as people did 75 years ago, the arrival of peace in Europe.

In commemoration of this the school is celebrating the day by asking you to send us a photograph of what your child has been doing in preparation for VE day at home. For example maybe a VE day themed drawing, flag making, dressing up in a red, white or blue theme, making bunting or if the weather is nice having a picnic lunch or afternoon tea in the garden.

We have put lots of links, activities and videos on our home learning site if you need some inspiration.

Immersion Week

What a week!

I am so impressed with all the home learning that is happening – you should all be so proud of yourselves – adults too! Not only have we had some fantastic Maths and English work being shared – you have also made an incredible start on our new expedition ‘Where in the World would you go?’
