Bingo and Boxes!

This week in class five we have been busy learning all about money – our favourite task was Bingo!

We have also finished our Beegu memory boxes and are busy thinking about all the amazing things we can put in our box to remind her of Norton. What do you think of our designs?

Critiquing memory boxes

Class 4 had a wonderful time critiquing memory boxes and choosing the right one for Beegu. The children have worked in their groups ‘think…pair…share…’ their ideas and designed their memory boxes thinking about the material, shape, colours, patterns and equipment.

Problem Solving and Phonics

This week we have been ‘Choosing Chimps’ choosing the right strategies in maths to apply to our problem solving.

We’ve also had lots of fun playing games to practise our phonics skills.

Headteacher’s Award – 23rd November 2020

Well done to the following children who have been nominated by their class teachers to receive my Headteacher’s award this week.

We’re going on a Bear Hunt

Our Nursery children have loved acting out our story today!

To support our wider community of Doncaster, we would like to donate to  hampers for families who would benefit from additional support over the Christmas period.  As part of the XP Trust family, if you are in a position to contribute to this scheme then we are collecting:
– mince pies
– selection boxes
– biscuits
Please drop off to the school office before Tuesday 1st December 9am. Thank you for your generosity over the festive period.
Thank you
Miss Tunney and everyone at XP Trust

Mi Rutina!

¡Hola amigos!

Ever been to Spain or a Spanish speaking country? Would you like to learn some Spanish? Well, Year 8 at XP and XP East have created some beautiful work to help you out!
Students have been learning to describe their morning routine, and how to explain when or where they do something in our expedition “La rutina”. They also recorded their work in Spanish and English, to help you follow the words through sound. Take a look at their very first product!
Inspired? Then use the slides to create your own storyboard, it would be amazing for Year 8 to enjoy and critique your work too!

Using descriptive language

Class 4 had a great time acting out the story and creating their own scenes. The children have used fantastic adjectives and similes when writing about Beegu’s world.
