We show our resilinece and enthusiasm when learning phonics, reading and handwriting in our English labs. We have discussed our Howl’s in crew and looked at different ways of sorting objects in maths.

I have been so impressed with the children in class five this week. They have been communicating and collaborating fantastically whether it has been in crew or in lessons.

We have continued to get to know each other this week, we have had a great PE session in the hall. We have worked hard in Crew thinking about the ways we can Be Kind and helpful to each other. We have been talking about our own family and have drawn some beautiful pictures. We also enjoyed the late summer sunshine and have been improving our outdoor learning area.

Today in year 2 we have completed our super hero training.
The children had lots of fun testing their speed, strength and agility on the equipment and I am pleased to say they all passed and received their certificates at the end of the day.
Well done class 6, you are all heroes!
We have all been so excited to show off our superhero costumes today and have enjoyed explaining in our crews what makes our chosen superheroes special.

We’ve been busy designing and making our superhero shields and completing our paintings to add the finishing touches to our classroom environment.

What do you think of our poem, adapted and performed by class five.
Following on from our visit from Mayor Ros Jones yesterday we decided to hold our own class elections. The children wrote and shared their own pledges for the year – they made some fantastic pledges which will make our classroom an incredible place to be!
We finished off the speeches with a vote.
Big congratulations to………………….(drum roll please)………. Skyler!!
It was a very close election with Ella and Toby being voted our Deputy Mayors.
I was blown away with the thoughtful and mature pledges you all made also how you all stood up and spoke so confidently and clearly at the podium in front of the whole class – well done everyone!

Today in class 6 we held an election to find our new class mayor.
The children wrote their campaign pledges which included litter picking, helping with reading and even bringing in sweets!
We then held a vote. Well done to Amelie who was elected Mayor and Katie and Freddy who are assistant mayors. I can’t wait to see what they get up to!
