Classifying Animals
This week we have been learning about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. We worked collaboratively to group animals before writing about them.
I wonder if you can remember what sort of teeth each group have?

Repeating patterns
In Nursery we have been using different resources to create repeating patterns.

Fact finding
This week in Class 3 we have been exploring features of non-chronological reports in our shared reading lessons. We have also demonstrated great decoding skills and found out so many interesting facts about polar bears.
Fantastic Food Chains
Today in class 6 we were learning about food chains. The children worked in collaborative groups to sort pictures to make food chains. It was lovely to see them all engaged in their learning.
We’ve got vacancies at XP Gateshead!
We’re looking for a Maths Teacher, Humanities Teacher, SENDCo and an EWC. Visit xptrust.org/vacancies to find out more about each role and apply to #JoinOurCrew

Making predictions
As part of our new expedition we set up an experiment to see how different objects react to being submerged in water. We added tissues, a swim nappy, a plastic toy and a packet of crisp to bowls of water and will keep observing them over the next few weeks!
