Spring sunshine means outdoor PE for Reception
What a brilliant morning of PE in Reception today. We have worked in our Crews to complete challenges at different stations. We all worked hard and had lots of fun!
Why did the Gingerbread Man ask the fox to help him cross the river?
Today we have investigated why the Gingerbread Man asked the sneaky fox to help him cross the river… We made our own predictions about what might happen. Then we dunked, held and dipped lots of different biscuits into water to see if our predictions were correct!
Spring time
We explored the outdoors, looking for signs of spring in our environment. We then talked about what we saw in crew and shared our ideas:
Getting creative
We then looked closely at spring flowers and used different media and materials to create our own:
Daily Mile
Year two had a brilliant time this afternoon showing their resilience to complete a Daily Mile in the sunshine 🌞

Signs of Spring…
Yesterday we went on a walk to spot signs of Spring in our Crew time. We spotted lots of daffodils growing and realised this was a great sign of Spring. This morning have investigated daffodils. Some were still to open, some were in full bloom and some were trapped and frozen! We have painted daffodils, drawn daffodils, created daffodils and have even sung a song about daffodils! We used an iPad to take photographs of our investigations and loved looking at the pictures we had taken!

Making Gingerbread Men
Our Nursery children have been bakers this week! They have learned lots of new skills and had great fun along the way.
Fieldwork at The Deep 🦑🐋🐠🐟🦐
We had an amazing day at The Deep. The children conducted themselves impeccably and did our school proud. They impressed our teacher Rachel with their knowledge of the 5 oceans, continents and the impact of plastic on sea life.
