Nursery rescues a Hedgehog!

Nursery found a hedgehog this morning asleep in our playground. It was far too cold and dangerous to leave him there, so we offered him warmth and shelter. The children really enjoyed meeting the creature and researching what hedgehogs eat and how we could look after it. The children found out that hedgehogs shouldn’t be out at that time of day and that it will soon be the time that they need to hibernate for winter in warm autumn leaf piles. We had a hedgehog story and watched a fact file for young children about British Wildlife. A day well spent we’d say! We are learning to be kind and get smart too.

Celebration of reading

The children in class 4 love books and read regularly at home. As a reward, they enjoyed their treat:hot chocolate, biscuits and some extra golden time. Well done everybody.

Another great week in Class 1 😊

The children loved sharing their family photos. They spoke confidently in front of the whole class. Super stars ⭐

Well done for working so hard this week class 1! You are all amazing 😊 Mrs Chadwick x

Castle experience day

On Tuesday we had an amazing day taking on the roles and jobs of people that lived and worked in castles:

We visited knights training school, a castle kitchen, an entertainment room and also took on the role of cleaners. We also made and tasted bread and vegetable soup. We all had the best day and are now using this day as inspiration for our writing in the coming days.

Castle Life

What a great day! Everyone made such a great effort with their costumes – it’s very much appreciated grown ups – thank you.

We then spent the rest of the day moving around four different classrooms completing different workshops. We did a health and hygiene session, an entertainment session, Knight training and a food tasting and prep room.

Great job, Mrs Parsons xx

You all worked so hard class 5,

Designing our own shields

Today we have been designing our very own Coat of Arms. We have some very colourful and detailed designs. We have enjoyed describing the content of our Coat of Arms in our Class 3 crew.

** Lunch Update **

Due to circumstances beyond our control we haven’t been able to rectify the issues with the kitchen in time for tomorrow. Therefore the kitchen will remain closed on Thursday 22nd September. If children could bring a packed lunch again please, we will provide one for the children who are free school meals.

Again we apologise for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your cooperation

Super Soft Play

This morning Class 2 had a brilliant time using the soft play. We balanced, crawled, bounced, skipped and hopped all over the hall!
