Music Expert Visitor
This afternoon KS1 had an exciting visit from Mr Hull, who showed us all his different musical instruments. From the banjos to the base guitar, and clarinet to drums we explored it all.

Mindful Monday
We started our morning with a rose and a thorn check in followed by a talk about why World Religion Day is important. We decided to test our knowledge with a game of dominoes made up with lots of religious symbols. Our check out was what skills we needed to be successful this morning at our game.

Y2 SLCs Prep
In Crew this morning Y2 have all been preparing for our SLCs next week. We got our Autumn Term expedition books out and picked our favourite piece of work as well as one we really grappled with. We can’t wait to share our “Rags to Riches” learning with you all next week.

Funky Fruit Tasting
Last week Class Six had a blast kicking off our spring expedition “Ready, Steady, Grow! How will I be the healthiest version of me?” trying a rang of different fruits. From oranges and bananas to passionfruit and avacado, we tried it all. The children showed courage, trying fruits they weren’t sure about or didn’t think they would like.

Class Six have already started thinking about our final product. We have had so much fun playing with shrinky dink and creating keyrings with our names on the.
Musician of the Week
As part of our expedition, one of our ongoing strands is going to be Music. To help us ensure the children are exposed to a wide range of musicians and genres, both past and present, we are going to be having a musician of the week.
We will be listening to music from the artist/s each morning as the children enter the classroom and we will be learning more about the artist as the week goes on.
Each week we will add a playlist to our website and ClassDojo pages, this will enable you to share in the Musician of the Week and listen along at home too!
We had a great time this morning dancing around the classroom to our first musician/s – Abba!
