The Lost Sheep

Class Five impressed me in our RE lesson today. Everyone could tell me what a parable is and could retell The Good Samaritan.

We then read The Lost Sheep and had some great conversations about what we thought the meaning was. To finish our lesson off class five turned into little actors and worked together to re-enact the parable – it really was brilliant work!

Super effort everyone ⭐️

Rainy Play

Not even the rain could stop us having fun in class five today! We decided to spend our playtime in the hall playing some throwing and catching game.

I tried as hard as I could to get everyone out but you were all just too good at catching and working together!

Mystery Reader

Class Five had the best start to the morning. We were really lucky that Abbie’s dad came in to be our mystery reader – he shared a beautiful story and a poem!

We really enjoyed it,

Thank you 😊

Being heroes in our community

Today the KS1 children and families were extremely kind as they donated many items to be given to the Askern CRY Foodbank. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our families and look forward to seeing our foodbank experts very soon to give them our donations.

Expert Visitors

We had a visit before our march from Mr West and Mr McLaughlin – from Askern CRY Food Bank and St. Peter’s Church to give us more information about the foodbank we are supporting and the difference we are going to make to our community.
