This week we have been learning about Diwali. The children have listened to the story of Rama and Sita, made clay candle holders and took part in a Rangoli colouring competition. All the children took part in tasting some festival food such as naan bread, poppadoms and mango chutney. The poppadoms went down a treat with the children!

Class 1 have enjoyed their weekly visit to our school library.

The children had great fun hunting for pumpkins this morning. We managed to find them all and each received a sweet treat 😊

Today we have made bird feeders to put around our school grounds. We have been discussing the importance of taking care of the birds, especially at this time of year. Well done Class 1 👏 It was great exercise for our finger muscles too! 😊

We have had fun in maths today. We have been counting the hidden woodland creatures around the classroom. Great counting skills 😁🔢

We had fun around the fire pit. We ate popcorn and drank warm apple juice. We were amazing at following the fire pit rules…

The children have loved picking the sunflower seeds from the head of the flower. It was great for our finger muscles! 😁 We are keeping the seeds and will plant them in the summer term 🌻☀️
