What a great day at Austerfield for Year One….

Today we have been explorers on our fieldwork! We started the day by learning about some famous explorers. We then went on a journey around the nature reserve and found lots of interesting pieces of nature. We used binoculars, magnifying glasses and information sheets to learn about trees, plants and wildlife all around the reserve. After lunch we went on an orienteering adventure and we used maps and a compass to find different markers around the nature reserve. It was a really enjoyable day.
