Designers and Mathematicians

We have been designing and making our very own catapults in class this week. We brushed up on our measuring skills and spoke about how to make our experiment a fair one. We had a great time and produced some fantastic products.

The children have blown us away with the extended study they have completed this week! Just look at these amazing catapults they have designed and made with their families! We really do have lots of design technologists in class five!

Awesome Assessments

I already knew class five were amazing but they have blown me away this week! The resilience and determination they have shown whilst working on our year two quizzes has been incredible.

We are all super proud of you all,

FAO Year Two Parents

On January 12th 2023, we will be holding two sessions for year 2 parents. During these sessions we will be sharing with you expectations around year two, what that looks like for you and your child, how we assess in year two and what adjustments can be made to support your child. There will also be time to speak to the year two staff and ask any questions you might have. Please can we ask that siblings and other children don’t attend these sessions.

If you could return this GoogleForm before 2nd December to enable us to plan and resource the sessions.

Any queries please let me know, Mrs Parsons xx

On the look out for an expert …

Our next expedition in KS1 is going to be all about keeping ourselves healthy. We are going to be thinking about:

  • Keeping our bodies healthy (exercise, looking after our mental health, eating healthily etc)
  • Growing food (gardening, planting and growing our own vegetables and herbs)
  • Cooking (preparing and making our own simple recipes)
  • Supporting local food banks and soup kitchens.

As always, we are on the lookout for some experts to come and speak to the children. If you or someone you know thinks you could help us out, please let me know.

It would be greatly appreciated.

Mrs Parsons xx
