Art in Class 3
We’ve had fun this week studying the work of the illustrator Quentin Blake. Our challenge has been to draw ourselves in his style. We’ve worked hard to improve our drafts, critiquing our work with our friends.
Watch this space for our finished work!
Our first week back…
What a busy week we have had in Class 1. We loved the Halloween disco, and dressed in our most spooky outfits! We have enjoyed building and creating and have been learning all about triangles. We have been lost in books and have spent lots of time sorting, matching and counting in our maths area. We wonder what next week will bring…
Party time in Nursery
We had a great time in Nursery dressing up and taking part in fun activities and games.
Our first week back…
Spooky Cosmic Yoga fun… We love copying the skeleton dance! Spider pose! Learning all about 3 and drawing triangles. Adding 3 spooky ingredients to a spell! Retelling The Gruffalo… How sneaky these two letters make one sound!
We have had such a great first few days back after our half term break. We have had a fabulous few spooky days, a Halloween disco, a new spooky Maths area to create spells – we needed to count ingredients into little cauldrons! We have enjoyed reading Room On The Broom and The Gruffalo!
Artists in the making …
Class five are showing their resilience this afternoon. They have been studying the art work of Quentin Blake and are now drawing themselves in the same style. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
This week in Class 4
We started our school week with a Halloween disco and had a great time when dancing and singing songs together. This week we look at the artwork of Quentin Blake and learn to draw characters in his style. On Wednesday we had our school vistor who trained us to be a First Air Super Stars!

Random acts of kindness in Nursery
In Nursery we have been thinking about what it means to be kind. As part of our expedition, we decided to make some beautiful pictures for Mrs Greening and Mrs Smith who work so hard in our school office. The children loved creating and presenting the artwork and everyone agreed that our acts of kindness made everyone feel so happy.
