Fruit Tasting

We have been showing courage this morning tasting lots of different fruits that we have read about in Handa’s Surprise. We thought carefully and used our anchor chart to describe the different fruits.

We pulled some funny faces trying some of the sour fruits!

Shrinky Dink

What a fun afternoon in class five! We spent the afternoon exploring and playing with shrinky dink paper. We worked hard to figure out how it works (and how it doesn’t!). We are really looking forward to seeing how it will help us with our final product.

We created some great pieces already – take a look.

Hook Week – Clue One

We kicked off our hook week recapping our knowledge of the parts of the human body. We decided our expedition must have something to do with the body and our senses …

Musician of the Week

As part of our expedition, one of our ongoing strands is going to be Music. To help us ensure the children are exposed to a wide range of musicians and genres, both past and present, we are going to be having a musician of the week.

We will be listening to music from the artist/s each morning as the children enter the classroom and we will be learning more about the artist as the week goes on.

Each week we will add a playlist to our website and ClassDojo pages, this will enable you to share in the Musician of the Week and listen along at home too!

We had a great time this morning dancing around the classroom to our first musician/s – Abba!

Enjoy,

A beautiful end to the Autumn Term…

This morning the children enjoyed distributing their kindness calendars to every class across Norton Campus. They were very well received and we put smiles on lots of faces. We are all looking forward to showing we care in 2025 and completing the random acts of kindness each month.

We then enjoyed some party games in the hall and of course a little Christmas boogie…

We had some very special visitors today and Santa himself brought us all a special present! We are pleased to announce we are all on his good list 🙂

We’ve had a fabulous day and we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas xxxx

RE- Our wonderful Christmas concert

It has been a truly magical morning for the children and their parents celebrating Christmas festival with us. The children were absolutely amazing acting out with confidence and spreading their joy and happiness around. Well done everybody!

Christmas Singalong in FS2…

The children in classes 1 and 2 blew us away this morning with their performance. They sang so beautifully and our ‘Christmas Conga’ definitely got everyone in the Christmas spirit!

Our Kindness Elves left us a lovely message and a delicious treat that the children enjoyed after their performance. Well done to each and everyone of you, you were all stars xx
