What a fantastic final week of home learning :-)

The children have planned and written some incredible stories about Wild 10 years later…

We have been learning about lines of symmetry in maths…

In expedition we have been learning about how to add texture into our observational drawings. 😀

We have written friendship letters to our friends that we will be sharing with each other next week ❤️

We had so much fun celebrating World Book Day! We have written book reviews, made finger puppets, been on scavenger hunts, guessed the masked reader contestants and shared some stories on our hangout 😊

Lily read her favourite story beautifully and wrote an amazing review…

I couldn’t think of a better way to end our last home learning blog than with a quote from Lily’s favourite book. I think it says it all, you can be anything you want to be and you’ve got an amazing journey ahead of you…

Oh, the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss

Thank you for your amazing efforts,

Mrs Chadwick xxxx

Look what Class 6 have been up to…

We have been learning all about shape this week. We’ve been getting creative making 2D and 3D shapes at home 😀

A square based pyramid and a cube. What a super idea!

We have also started our new core text ‘Wild’ by Emily Hughes. Take a look at some of our descriptive writing and fantastic drawings…

For our expedition we have been out and about spotting animals that live in our local area. Take a look at some of the artwork we have created so far…

The children have also produced some beautiful art work and have redrafted their work to make it even better! Super stars…

We have been busy interpreting and drawing tally charts and pictograms in maths…

We have had some great discussions this week about whether animals should be kept in zoos. Here are some of our reasoned arguments…

You presented your ideas brilliantly 🙂

Enjoy your break everyone, you deserve it xxxx

Class 6’s Non-Chronological Reports

We have been working hard this week and our efforts can be seen in the beautiful work we have created. We started our week by identifying features of a non-chronological report…

After researching our favourite animals we then created our very own report. Prepare to be amazed…

What fascinating facts!
Super choice of images 🙂
What an eye catching report!
Great picture and labels! I never knew a cat had been into space!
Very informative 🙂
You have found some amazing facts out about hamsters!

A HUGE well done for your efforts this week! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work 😊

Class 6 Story Tellers

I am so proud of the English work I have received this week! The children have been writing their own alternative stories for ‘How To Heal a Broken Wing’, which has been the key text we have been looking at over the past few weeks. They have created some beautiful work and have used their incredible imaginations. I think we have got some budding authors and illustrators in our class 😀 Huge well done!

This week in class 6…

It’s been another fantastic week! Everyone is working so hard at home and I am receiving some beautiful work every day.

We have been inspired by Henri Rousseau’s painting called ‘Surprise’ and have started some incredible paint work. Check out Evan’s panda bear…

We have been working hard in our expedition sessions this week, creating venn diagrams, frayer diagrams and getting crafty…

In maths we have been learning all about arrays and solving some tricky problems 😀

We also had a birthday girl this week 😀 We all sang happy birthday via our google hangout! That cake looks yummy!

Thanks again for all the hard work class 6. Let’s make next week just as great!

Snow Day!

Class Six have certainly made the most of the weather! We’ve all had a fun day in the snow, building snowmen, making snow angels and drinking hot chocolate. Smiles all around…

Our Little Heroes!

It’s not the start to the new year we had hoped for but class 6, you have started it with a bang! I am so proud of your efforts this week (parents included). Here are some photos of what our first week in lock down looks like…

We have been learning lots of new fascinating facts about pigeons. The children have created some beautiful art work and fact files!

Expedition…

We have also become immersed in our new expedition. We’ve had some furry vistors in school. At home we have been writing fact files about our own pets, making birds and have even done a spot of bird watching…

Keep up the incredible work class 6! You should be very proud of yourself!

Class 6 never fail to make me smile…

Think pair share time – OH NO! Why did the table toppers quit their job?

Our memory boxes are almost finished 😀
