We found some alien soup in class five but the label had fallen off! Thankfully we have a class full of scientists who worked together to investigate the ingredients/materials! 
Today in crew we have been thinking about how we communicate. We worked in pairs to describe a picture to our partner and see if they could draw the picture exactly the same. We had to listen carefully and ask specific questions.
We have started our first case study in our new expedition – What would Aliens think of life in Norton? For our first case study we are being scientists and learning all about materials.
Your child should have brought home a login and password for Times Tables Rockstars and and Numbots.

We had something a little bit different in story time today. I shared with the children one of my favourite poems by one of my favourite poets – Michael Rosen. It’s called Chocolate Cake – it was lovely to see they enjoyed it as much as me! I promised to share the link so they could enjoy it again …

We are feeling pretty proud of ourselves this morning in class five!
Our English lesson was disturbed this morning by loud crashes and bangs.
So we spent the morning investigating what looked like an alien crash landing. The children were incredible detectives – investigating clues, making notes and designing wanted posters for the missing alien.
