Science Week

We had a great morning celebrating Science Week during our stay and learn session. We made some experiments, looked at how the colours change. We enjoyed making the life cycle of the butterflies and string telephones.

What a perfect Friday!

Year 1 had a very busy day being food technologists. We used different skills to make a delicious Greek salad and in the afternoon we decorated our biscuits.

In a deep dark wood…

Class 4 had a lovely afternoon visiting our Gruffalo wood on the school ground. We looked around to spot as many natural things as we could and used some amazing adjectives to describe what we could see.

Colourful body artwork in crew

This morning, we started our crew with some dancing and singing:)We loved a skeleton dance and we named the parts of our body. Then we created a colourful body artwork and used some words to describe how we are feeling today.

What an incredible experience . . .

This afternoon, as part of our music case study, we have been lucky enough to give the children the most incredible experience. We have had a visit from one of our fantastic parents, Mr Lamb – who just so happens to be a very talented Opera Singer.

He shared with the children his life as a singer, taught us some vocal exercises, talked about singing all over the world and performed a piece from Carmen for us.

The children and staff are feeling very lucky to have had such a magical experience as part of our expedition.
