Year One Celebration of Learning

What a brilliant celebration of learning this morning! The children presented Ready, Steady,Grow! How can I be the Healthiest Version of Me?

They sang songs, recalled facts and shared their expedition books with their adults.

Thank you to all the adults who came and shared the children’s learning. We are excited to share the final product with you after Easter.

Red Nose Day Competition 🔴

We have been so impressed with the t-shirt designs around school today. Below are the winners from the different classes, voted for by the children. Our overall winner, picked by Mrs Ponsonby is . . . Brooke!

We will make sure all of our winners get their prizes on Monday morning – well done everyone!

Thank you to everyone who wore red, designed a shirt or made a contribution to Comic Relief.

Healthy muffins!!

We have spent time researching healthy recipes to get ideas for our baking day. We were really surprised by some of the ingredients that we could use.

We decided to make a healthy chocolate muffin using ingredients such as Greek yoghurt, apple sauce and cinnamon! We were really surprised by how delicious they were.

Class 3 mathematicians

In maths lessons we have been working collaboratively through a series of addition and subtraction number problems. We did a great job of using different strategies to work out the answers to some tricky questions.

We have also enjoyed exploring capacity and volume so we are now ready to use these skills in our baking next week.

Well done Class 3…..you have all worked really hard this week!

Exploring Outdoors

In Crew this week we have enjoyed spending time outdoors making connections between ourselves and the great outdoors. We have spent time talking about ourselves and people that are important to us before spending some quality time together outside, enjoying being in the fresh air with the people that are important to us in school. It made us feel really happy when we spotted some of the first signs of spring time in our woods.
