Today a little girl in Class 1 chose to make something for another child in our class, something she knew he would like. She made him smile so widely and it really touched my heart. Be kind, always xx

Yesterday we had a brilliant time at Boston Park Farm. There were many different activities for us to do and lots of fun to be had! We saw alpacas, pigs, cows, sheep, goats, ponies, chickens, turkeys, rabbits and guinea pigs!
We enjoyed feeding the animals. Children learned to hold their hands out flat to allow the animals to eat the food without nibbling their fingers.
Farmer David took us for a ride in the trailer pulled along by his huge red tractor. We then had the chance to look at the other farm machinery and have a sit on the other tractors. There was a ginormous combine harvester, the children aren’t even as tall as the front tyre!
We ate our lunch in the dining hall and played together outside.
We also had great time creating some pictures of the lambs using crayons and popcorn!
We were so proud of how polite and well behaved the children were. They were all so sensitive to the animals as they were handling them and fantastic representations of our school.
Well done Reception children!
We have had a great day celebrating World Book Day 📚📖
I think you will all agree, they look amazing!
We have enjoyed all the book related activities too 😀
I smell the blood of an Englishman! Wow, what an amazing week of learning in Reception this week. We have been reading the story Jack and the Beanstalk and had a great time exploring this further in our play. The children in Class 1 and 2 have been making giants out of play dough and construction materials, moulding magic beans out of clay, measuring leaves, creating their own artwork about the story and producing incredibly detailed story maps. I am so proud of how hard the children are working. Well done Reception!
Over the past few weeks class 1 have really enjoyed using the big bricks to make a stage, instruments and microphones. They have been putting on some very entertaining shows! Ghostbusters and Greatest Showman have been particular favourites. Class 1 has talent 😁
Class 1 have been enjoying reading in pairs this week. They have supported and encouraged one another, which has been really lovely to see!
We have also had great fun with Coach Josh and Coach Ellie from Kixx. The children all turned into pirates! They listened beautifully and their smiles just show how much they enjoyed it!
We enjoyed getting outside this morning. We thought about the importance of working as a team. Our mission was to make a bridge that went over the lava! The children did a great job 👏
We have been thinking about how exercise makes us feel good. We’ve enjoyed keeping fit together 😁
The children have really enjoyed planting their bulbs this week. We are learning all about how to take care of them 🌸🌻🌷
The children have impressed me in our shared reading sessions this week. Great stretching and reading Class 1 😁
