Admissions Policy Consultation
Norton Infant School are consulting for a 6 week period from Monday 19th October 2020 until Monday 30th November to change their AdmissionsPolicy from September 2022. The proposed change is to the oversubscription criteria as follows, see blue:
Where the school receives more applications than it has places available, the criteria listed below will apply, after the admission of children with a statement of Special Educational Needs which names Norton Infant School, the oversubscription criteria will be:
- A ‘looked after child’ or a child who was previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to an adoption, residence, or special guardianship order. A looked after child is a child who is (a) in the care of a local authority, or (b) being provided with accommodation by a local authority in the exercise of their social services functions (see the definition in Section 22(1) of the Children Act 1989).
- Children who have been on roll at the Norton Infant School Nursery at the time of application.
