We have had a fantastic week in Class 4

This week, the children have worked incredibly hard on their expedition tasks, English and Maths work. They have enjoyed spending their time with the family when baking, planting seeds, having long walks and playing games. The children in school have impressed me with their beautiful writing and positive attitude towards everything they do!Β  Fab work everybody!!!

The Elves and the Shoemaker

This week we have been reading the story of The Elves and the Shoemaker.Β  I’ve got to admit I’ve never really used this story with a class before but I think it has been one of my favourite weeks of our traditional tales expedition so far.Β  As always I have been amazed by the response from children in Class 1.Β  I have seen some truly wonderful activities taking place and have also seen lots of shoe designs that I would love to be able to buy in the shops!!

Thank you to all the children and families in Class 1 for making me smile everyday with your messages and photographs.

Have a wonderful weekend.

It’s been so lovely to see so many children enjoying traditional stories and producing such beautiful work.

You should be so proud of the things you have achieved with the help of your grown-ups.

Very well done everyone!

Mrs Murray 😊💜

Our natural Art Project

This week we have been learning about plants and different types of trees. The children went on the walk around the school to identify the trees. They collected lots of leaves and decided to make a leaf collage. Then they worked hard, using a selection of natural material to make the tree trunk and labelled the parts of the tree. Well done everybody! We will publish the picture of our completed project soon!!!

Celebrating World Ocean Day

The children have learnt lots of exciting facts about the sea creatures and discussed what we can do to to keep the oceans clean.
