World Book Day Fun in Class 3
Following Instructions
This week, class five have been working really hard writing instructions for a Greek style salad. Today we have tested out the instructions using our new design technology skills. We were really proud of the results – it tasted delicious!

Class Five are already enjoying our book day celebrations!
Kixxing Off!
Nursery children have had an absolute ball today! Taking part in fun physical sessions led by Kixx coaches Josh and Ellie. Last week we were Pirates…. ooh arr! This week we have been Swamp Monkeys. The children moved in a variety of ways, whilst pretending to be monkeys swinging from branches. Listening and observation skills were a must. Utilising all of their gross motor skills manipulating balls that were crocodile eggs. It was a challenge not to break them, the skill was egg-stravagant!
Class 3 mathematicians
In maths lessons we have been working collaboratively through a series of addition and subtraction number problems. We did a great job of using different strategies to work out the answers to some tricky questions.
We have also enjoyed exploring capacity and volume so we are now ready to use these skills in our baking next week.
Well done Class 3…..you have all worked really hard this week!
Fee, Fi, Fo Fum…
I smell the blood of an Englishman! Wow, what an amazing week of learning in Reception this week. We have been reading the story Jack and the Beanstalk and had a great time exploring this further in our play. The children in Class 1 and 2 have been making giants out of play dough and construction materials, moulding magic beans out of clay, measuring leaves, creating their own artwork about the story and producing incredibly detailed story maps. I am so proud of how hard the children are working. Well done Reception!
‼️World Book Day Reminder ‼️
We are celebrating World Book Day on FRIDAY 3RD MARCH not tomorrow.
If children would like to dress up on FRIDAY – they are very welcome to do so. However, we would like to stress there is no obligation for anyone to go out and spend money on costumes. If children choose not to dress up they are welcome to come in their own clothes or pyjamas ready for a ‘bedtime’ story!
We are looking forward to celebrating all things book related together.

Class 1 Rock 🎶🎵🎸💿
Over the past few weeks class 1 have really enjoyed using the big bricks to make a stage, instruments and microphones. They have been putting on some very entertaining shows! Ghostbusters and Greatest Showman have been particular favourites. Class 1 has talent 😁
Future Chefs in Class Five
This morning we have been using different skills and equipment in a safe way to chop, grate and peel.
We are going to use these skills over the coming weeks to follow some delicious recipes.

Tranquil Tuesday
This morning we shared a story called Ruby’s Worry. We talked bout where our happy places were and we discovered that it’s usually people or animals that make them special to us. We also thought about who we could share a worry with because we all get worries every now and again.
It was lovely to see how supported and loved we all feel ❤️
